AVAILABLE CHILDREN

Children available for adoption in
Uzbekistan are 6 months of age up to 15
years old. Both boys and girls are
available for adoption. Adoptive parents
are able to choose the child they wish to
adopt. Children are of Asian, Eurasian
and Caucasian descent. Uzbekistan
represents a variety of ethnic groups
including Uzbek, Russian, Ukrainian,
Kazakhstan, German and Tatar.
Prospective Adoptive Parent(s) may
consult with medical experts to evaluate
the child(ren) referred before accepting
the referral.

UZBEKISTAN ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS

Both parents must be a U.S. Citizen
(Uzbekistan prefers that both parents are
U.S. citizens) and between 25 and 50 years
of age. Married couples and single women
are eligible to At least one prospective
adoptive parent adopt from Uzbekistan.
The age difference between the adoptive
child and the prospective adoptive parents
must not be less than 15 years apart.
Prospective parents must meet the
requirements of USCIS and Uzbekistan.

UZBEKISTAN ADOPTION PROCESS AND TRAVEL

Prospective parents will submit a completed dossier to Sunshine International Adoption Agency. Sunshine International Adoption
Agency will forward your Dossier to Uzbekistan. Once your Dossier arrives in Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan associates will begin the
referral process.
When you travel to Uzbekistan, professional and experienced associates will meet you at the airport, drive you to the hotel or guest
apartment, assist your adoption in the city where your child’s orphanage is located, translate, notarize and legalize necessary
paperwork (birth certificate, medical statement) and help you obtain travel documents for your child(ren). Uzbekistan associates
will guide you step-by-step through the adoption process in Uzbekistan and make sure that you have all the correct paperwork
before you return home and will also assist with any issues that may arise in the course of your adoption process.

Uzbekistan is situated in central Asia between the Amu Darya and Syr Darya Rivers, the Aral Sea, and the slopes of the Tien Shan
Mountains. Uzbekistan is bordered by five countries: Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. By
Kazakhstan in the north and northwest, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in the east and southeast, Turkmenistan in the southwest, and
Afghanistan in the south.
